On many modern web pages, you can find this code snippet. What do you think it does? #webdevelopment #webdesign #html
@alesroubicek I knew it back then, but now I don’t remember. It’s something about Edge behaving like IE, or vice versa? Something regarding that kind of compatibility?
(It’s very possible I still have it on my sites, too.)
@honzajavorek Basically it's something like React.js. It does something, nobody remembers what or why, but it is because of some already gone legacy browser. It has no utility. Just unnecessary bytes.
@alesroubicek We also use QWERTY. It’s fast enough for typing with 10 fingers while it also prevents our mechanical keys getting stuck with each other, right? 😀
@honzajavorek Almost. Except, QWERTY has no penalty with garbage thrown at users.
